Only kidding, no ketchup is involved here. But the Hubble sandwich bit was a real thing.
Firstly you need one Hubble Space Telescope, and one Discovery orbiter, secondly, you need to get two alien spacecraft packed with curious aliens and place them at either side of the telescope and Discovery and voila, just like that, one Hubble sandwich. It’s a real thing. But not something you will see at Subway anytime soon. It’s an exclusive.NASA club sandwich. Only those choosen get to be the filling. As you can see here below in STS103-734-57 there are two craft docked beside Discovery. The craft on the right can be seen at the bottom with its long bank of windows and another window can also be seen behind the solar array. The bottom left is the second craft with the entity standing at a window. In the next frame, you will see that there is also a ship docked alongside Discovery, essentially sandwiching the orbiter and satellite between these two alien spacecraft. Hence the term
‘a Hubble sandwich.’
