What is pictured here is a fully identified alien craft. The teo long illuminated lines are the waveguides that rip the plasma to the front of the craft. The same thing was photographed in Puerto Rico in December 1980.
This December 1999 UFO report from Missouri describes the craft seen in this image.
”The craft also had two rods or poles that protruded out of the front. They also were lights but also were not illuminated. The craft was 60-70 ft. Long. We saw this craft just on the south-east side of Columbia, MO at about 9:45pm on Dec 1st, 1999. ”
So quit with the ”we dont know” crap. NASA know fine and well what these things are because STS103-734-73 jut happens to have the same craft as the one on the news footage.
